Assembly and Functional Checklist
1.
SUA/Airframe
Check for damage, tightness of all fittings, condition and secure fitting of propellers and secure attachment of camera or payload.
2.
Flight Battery
Check condition of battery, charge level, secure fit to airframe.
DO NOT SWITCH POWER ON
3.
Flight controller/Transmitter
Switch on, Check battery status and that power is at least 80%, ensure all switches and controls are in the correct position
4.
USB Dongles and SD Cards
Ensure all USB dongles and SD Cards are fitted and secure
5.
Initiate Power to SUA
Call "CLEAR PROPS" and turn on aircraft
6.
Self diagnostic checks
Wait for initialisation and diagnostic checks to complete
7.
Telemetry Checks
Ensure visiual feed and correct telemetry is displayed on the controller
8.
Calibration
Initiate calibration as per instructions if applicable
9.
Camera and Gimbal
Test for control and operation and ensure the camera is in the correct position for Take Off - Lens parallel with ground
10.
Satellite Acquisition
Ensure an adequate number of satellites are acquired and fixed (ideally 10)
11.
GPS Position Fix/RTK
Confirm that GPS Position fix and RTK corrections are being received (if available)
12.
RTH Position and Height Fixed
Confirm on map and by audio confirmation - Ensure RTH height is suitable for mapping environment
13.
Check flight App & aircraft status
Confirm on map and by audio confirmation - Ensure RTH height is suitable for mapping environment
14.
Camera check and settings (if required)
Check all camera functions and adjust settings as requied
