3D Laser Scanning

What is Laser Scanning.

Laser scanning is a non contact, non invasive measurement technique that utilises light to capture the 3D spatial coordinates of an area of interest.

At Precision Air Surveys we use this technology extensively to measure the built environment. Used in conjunction with more traditional methods, we are able to measure an asset with millions of 3D points.  This rich data set then forms the basis of our digital work, allowing our team to produce highly accurate information within a CAD environment.

The advantages of Laser Scanning.

Not only is laser scanning a quicker, more cost effective process, it also allows our clients to view each scan captured, via an online, simple to use, web-based portal.  This portal lets users interact with the scan data and take measurements, areas and even collaborate with other users by means of annotation information.  This portal is available with each project and online soon after leaving site, meaning you can engage with the data early in the project life-cycle.
